Securigy was founded in 2006 by the same key personnel that founded Gravity Storm Software, LLC in 1999. The latter successfully pioneered the securigy patch management space years ahead of its competitors.

Securigy and its sister company, Gravity Storm Software were committed to protect businesses from emerging threats and attacks. As network security became more complex and costly, organizations were looking for ways to respond to multiple overlapping threats in the most effective and cost-efficient way while ensuring network systems are compliant. Securigy and Gravity Storm Software delivered the best of bread enterprise-level security and network management and monitoring solutions designed specifically to help IT administrators address IT security issues across the enterprise.

In 2009 Securigy became more and more engaged in developing custom networking and communication solutions using Bluetooth, and recently, made an entry into VoIP market with its flagship product, SKAIFO - Skype Add-In For Outlook.
